Weddings are a great opportunity for designers to showcase skills and exercise their DIY tendencies. During the course of the wedding my wife and I found ourselves using skills acquired from work such as our illustrating, hand lettering, coding (I may not go back to Wordpress for simple web projects), and our battle tested project management skills to wrangle friends and family.

Paper goods

We designed our invitations to showcase some hand lettering and illustrations which were offset printed since we loved the physical quality of ink and handmade goods.

Website

The website was built using Cactus (a static site generator), SASS, and HTML. It was a fun experiment to use a non CMS/more DIY option which required some swearing and Amazong Web Services and learning how static site generators work.
